About me
Born in Genoa in 1981, I am a sculptor who earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara. I lived and worked there for many years, perfecting my practice alongside the finest marble master-artisans. This immersion allowed me to deeply expand my professional experience and refine my technical mastery of stone carving.
In addition to my exhibitions across Italy—from Florence to Rome, and including Genoa, Trento, Turin, Caserta, and Carrara—I frequently create works for the international market, notably in Germany, Luxembourg, and France. My collaboration with the "FP Luxury Art" gallery led to the installation of a major sculpture on an American cruise ship, further expanding the global reach of my work. I have also participated in various awards and exhibitions throughout Spain, Greece, and Germany.
Today, I live in Prato with my wife and our three children, and I work between Florence and Carrara. I am a Professor of Sculpture at an Artistic High School, an institution dedicated to the academic study of Fine Arts. To me, teaching is the ultimate form of continuous learning, and my students provide me with that constant opportunity for growth.
I strive to convey to them that matter is far more than an inert support: it possesses its own language, a unique quality, a specific force, and perhaps even something akin to a soul. If matter is vibrantly alive rather than stagnant, then art is everything but a decoration; on the other side, it is a profound philosophical act: a deliberate action upon matter intended to manifest an abstract concept.
